Stag do at Kochelsee

Recently been invited to a stag do in Bavaria, Germany. Never before been to one and it wasn't the safest time to travel. What with the Corona virus et al. Somehow managed to get there in time and was all set for a long Saturday.

I got up really early on that day and took a picture of the abbey where my room was located. (Fantastic, who gets to have a room in a 1000 year old abbey at a reasonable price?)

You can clearly see the foggy weather with the guys putting everything up for the party.

Couldn't even look across the lake in the morning.

The to be married stag was to be dressed as a pirate captain with all of us dressed as pirates as well. He was to set sail in a small boat called the "Black Pearl". He was to find us a big treasure and then by captain's orders we were to have a drink.

Here we see the "Black Pearl" being "tested" on the water. Truth be told, it wasn't such a good boat, the captain fell into the water several times.

Here now the arrival of our captain. It was meant to be a surprise so he is wearing an eye cover. Shortly thereafter we set sail on a couple of boats. To find the treasure. And not fall into the lake too often.

After a successful return we celebrated our treasure and our soon to be married captain with drinks, music and food. The noise attracted a bunch of sparsely dressed women from the nearby camping place. Too bad our captain was going to get married soon!
