The farm where we were staying
After a long travel day (>12 hours) we arrive at our farm. The scenery is beautiful and the farm has real animals. Life is good for the time being. You can also buy bread, milk and eggs at the farm, if you wanted to. The milk is all natural though, with real fat in it.
The view from the balcony and inside
Weather is good, especially at the beginning. The view from the balcony is good as well, we're right at the foot of the mountains. The accommodation has lots of wood pieces, much better than the plastics that you find some places these days.
Damien taking a good look around, enjoying a ride in the new stroller that we bought for the kids.
Playground for the little ones
A good opportunity for the kids to play and for the grown ups to take a break.
They have rabbits here!
First day expedition
On the first day we try discover our suroundings a bit. We walk to up to the point where we leave town and take a few steps into nature.
Clearly the first discoveries are being made. Where does the river come from? And is water really wet? Then it's back to the playground.
Off to swimming pool
So hot the first few days that we took the opportunity to go to the swimming pool one of the days. Expensive though, ~50EUR for the bunch of us.
We all enjoy it, there is a bit for each one of us.
The kids are trying out the water too.
The important thing, my wife had a good time.
Reunion
Of course there is time to meet with old friends. Would you believe it, we went to school together, year 2000 it was. Now we are married and have kids each one of us.
Excursion into the Lainbachtal
Just before the end of our holiday, we took a walk up the Lainbachtal. It's a beautiful valley, carved into the rock of the mountain. Carved by the river Lainbach, which over the centuries dug deeper and deeper into the mountain to form what is now called the Lainbachtal.
Ready to go. Who's there on the telephone?
